Stainless steel casting processing has a relatively high melting point, molten steel is easy to oxidize, molten steel has poor fluidity and good shrinkage. First, the characteristics of stainless steel casting processing

First of all, due to the poor fluidity of molten steel, we must prevent sufficient cooling and casting of cast steel. The wall thickness of cast steel is not less than 8 mm; the casting system has a simple structure and the cross-sectional dimension is larger than that of cast iron; dry or hot-cast type is used; The temperature is generally 1520 ° ~ 1600 ° C. Due to the high pouring temperature, the molten steel has a large heat, and the liquid can be kept for a long time, and the fluidity can be improved. However, if the pouring temperature is too high, it will cause defects such as coarse particles, hot cracks, pores and sand. Therefore, the shape of the casting is generally small and thin, and the casting temperature is about the melting point of steel + 150 ° C; the casting temperature of the casting is about 100 ° C than the melting point of stainless steel casting.

In order to prevent shrinkage, cracks, etc. in stainless steel casting parts, we must take these measures to make the wall thickness uniform, and avoid sharp angle and right angle structure. In the mold type, add coke in the core, and finally need hollow core and The oil core changes the concession and permeability of the sand or core.

Second, stainless steel casting processing considerations

1. In order to prevent the production of stainless steel casting white mouth, in addition to taking measures, its wall thickness should not be too thin (some materials believe that the wall thickness is above 15mm, and the casting angle of metal castings must use rounded corners.

2. Due to the metal type and core not allowed, in order to facilitate the removal of castings and extraction, the casting slope of stainless steel casting processing should be more suitable than sand casting, generally should be 30%-50%.

3. Inside the stainless steel casting process, the thickness of the inner rib should generally be 0.6-0.7 of the thickness of the outer wall. Otherwise, the inner wall is cold and slow, and the joint between the inner wall and the outer wall is prone to cracking when the casting shrinks.

4. Due to the fast heat dissipation of the metal type, the minimum wall thickness of the stainless steel casting process should be greater than the minimum wall thickness of the cast sand casting and various stainless steel casting and processing alloys, and the wall thickness of different sizes.
